Educated in the United Kingdom and Hong Kong, Yannie obtained her first degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Warwick before earning her Juris Doctor and Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL) from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She joined our firm as a summer intern in 2010, trained with the firm from 2012, and was admitted as a solicitor in 2014. In recognition of her dedication and expertise, she was promoted to partner in 2019. With over a decade of experience in civil litigation, Yannie has built a strong practice in personal injury and employees’ compensation claims, including complex cases involving fatal accidents, catastrophic injuries, industrial accidents, motor claims, public liability, and policy disputes. She represents both injured persons and insurer defendants, giving her a balanced perspective in resolving disputes. Yannie also has substantial experience in family law, handling divorce, financial disputes, custody and children arrangements, and cross-border jurisdictional issues. She has acted in high-value matrimonial cases involving substantial assets and international elements, committal proceedings before the Court of Final Appeal on default of maintenance, Hague Convention child abduction cases, wardship proceedings, domestic violence and injunction matters, and third-party interest claims. Her practice further extends to medical negligence, probate, mental health proceedings, property damage, nuisance claims, and administrative law. Yannie has conducted multiple trials and substantive hearings on her own, demonstrating her advocacy skills and courtroom experience. Known for her efficiency, responsiveness, and client-focused approach, Yannie is committed to delivering thorough and practical solutions tailored to each client’s needs. With empathy and pragmatism, she strives to secure positive outcomes and provide reassurance to clients navigating challenging circumstances.
